Shortcode option

Hi, how can we use the Shortcode option? I’ve looked here: https://docs.elementor.com/article/556-dynamic-tags
Shortcode – Use a dynamic shortcode for anything that Elementor doesn’t provide a dynamic tag for
but I still don’t get it.
In my case, I have some custom fields that are not shown in the custom fields section (different theme structure) but I’m displaying them on the page with shortcodes.

Can I use the Shortcode option, to hide/show the fields based on the content of shortcodes?
