# Shortcode Problem

 * I use the plugin to embed a PDF and then publish. When the editor reloads I find
   that the shortcode now includes a reverse slash before the quote marks. Any ideas
   as to what’s happening?

 * Thank you for getting in touch.
 * To be honest, I don’t think there is anything the plugin could be doing to affect
   the shortcode once it is generated. At that point it’s just some text in the 
   WordPress post, and the plugin is only involved again when it is called upon 
   to actually display the PDF itself.
 * So it must be related to something else in your setup. Maybe you have a custom
   visual editor installed that is applying its own formatting to the text?
 * Please send me an email with a link to your site if you’re not able to eliminate
   the problem e.g. by turning off some other plugins:
