# Shortcode product description

    Product short descriptions do not appears in product shortcode [sale_products
   per_page=”60″ paginate=”true” columns=”4″ orderby=”random” ]
 * I tried the below solution
    [https://wpbeaches.com/woocommerce-add-short-or-long-description-to-products-on-shop-page/](https://wpbeaches.com/woocommerce-add-short-or-long-description-to-products-on-shop-page/)
 * but it repeated the short description on the normal product page, not the targeted
   shortcode product page

 * I’ve performed some cross-testing on one of my staging sites and have noticed
   that the snippet you shared worked quite well. This is [how the short description appears](https://snipboard.io/PuFwL1.jpg)
   on the on sale product page using the shortcode and here’s the [single product page](https://snipboard.io/G30Ilc.jpg).
 * From what you describe the issue could be likely caused by a conflict with your
   theme or with another plugin. Read more about plugin and theme conflicts in our

 * If the conflict test makes no difference, please consider installing an extension
   like [Product Description on Shop Page](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-description-on-shop-page/)
   which claims to display the product short description on shop, category, and 
   other listing pages.
