# Shortcodes in comments

 * I am running a self-hosted site on the Thesis theme, and I cannot get the [Easy Spoiler plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-spoiler/)
   to display correctly in the comments. It works just fine in the posts (and in
   the wp-admin area), but [in the comments](http://www.seaslugteam.com/2011/09/01/pardon-the-mess/#comment-102026)
   the `[shortcode]` is just displayed as text.
 * I have tried multiple spoiler plugins with the same result, and placing `add_filter('
   comment_text', 'do_shortcode' );` in my custom functions file [as suggested in this thread has no effect](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-allow-shortcodes-in-comments).
 * Anyone know how I can get this shortcode/plugin to work in my comments?
