# Shortcodes & WordPress Seo

 * Hi,
 * I have a question about how the plugin (or maybe it would be search engines overall)
   read content inside of shortcodes.
 * I have a site with text inside of a tabbed table created with a shortcode. The
   text in the table contains the pages key words. On the General tab for the plugin,
   it shows the focus keyword in the content 5 times, but on the page analysis, 
   the keyword density is 0, and it notes that my body only had 115 words, but there
   are considerably more than that, most would be inside of the shortcode though.
 * Will this be a problem with the search engines, or is this just the way that 
   the plugin reads?

 * Did you get this issue resolved? i am having the same issue with my seo plugin
   not reading content inside the shortcodes. I am also wondering if search engines
   will have a problem, or if its just a flaw of the plugin. Thanks for any insight
   you may offer.

 * I never received a reply, but all the research that I did indicated that it was
   just the plugin not reading what was in the shortcodes.
 * The site that I was working on is ranking well for the target keywords, and some
   of the text is in shortcodes, so I guess it all worked out for me. But I would
   love it if the problem was resolved as I use the plugin and shortcodes frequently.

 * Hi Matt. Thanks for a quick reply.
 * Its a shame that the plugin cant read within the shortcodes, seems like a major
   flaw with the programming. However, im glad to hear search engines still appear
   to read them as i also use the shortcodes frequently. Thanks again!
