# Should I disallow XMLRPC.php in robots.txt?

 * I noticed that Google is indexing [http://mydomain.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd](http://mydomain.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd).
   Is there any problem in disallowing /xmlrpc.php in my robots.txt file?
 * `Disallow: /xmlrpc.php`

 * That shouldn’t do anything to hurt the functionality of your site, and at the
   very least, it’s necessary to get Google to remove it.

 * If you place that in robots.txt, Google will remove it automatically (in a week
   or two). 🙂
