 * Hello,
 * Sorry as I am inexperienced, and I may not be fully clear at explaining myself.
 * A most strange issue in my site caused to display the wp-install.php instead
   of the frontpage. I fear a brute-force attack may succeed in entering my directories
   and harm my work. My question is this:
    is deleting and replacing wp-install.
   php a safe measure?. Does WordPress replace this php file at every update? In
   that case, I would have no problem in replace it after every update.
 * Please advice
 * Thank you very much in advance

 * Just to confirm, is this /wp-admin/install.php that you are seeing? And it asks
   you to choose a language and enter settings for a new site?
 * I’ve seen a few cases of this lately, caused by hosts that limit the number of
   database queries a site can run per hour. If the site goes back to normal in
   30-60 minutes, that is most likely the case.
 * Removing the installation file may cause other problems, so I wouldn’t recommend
   it. You may need to remove some plugins or turn off some features to reduce the
   site’s resource usage, or ask the host to increase resource limits — or possibly
   change to a different host (or different plan at the same host) that does not
   limit the number of database queries the site uses.

 * WordFence plugin updating failed
 * Hello Matt,
 * On trying to update WordFence plugin at [http://www.aflorarte.com/webmeetings/](http://www.aflorarte.com/webmeetings/)
   I received a notification which I translate below:
    “Update failed : Could not
   install the update because some files could not be copied . Usually this is due
   to inconsistent file permissions.”
 * In the forum some people recommend to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it afterwards,
   but I doubt is this is a good way to solve this issue, so I need
    your viewpoint
   here,
 * Please help
 * PLEASE NOTICE:
 * I know that this issue is different from thte above but actually, I couldn´t
   find where to open a new ticket from in this forum
 * Thank you very much in advance.

 * Hi Liliana,
 * Removing the old version of the plugin manually is a workaround for now. We have
   changes coming in a future version that will prevent this problem. Alternately,
   if you turn on “Disable config caching” on the Options page (or the Diagnostics
   page if you’ve upgraded to one of the 6.1.x versions), that may allow the update
   to work — on some sites, you may have to wait a while for one of the files to
   be unlocked.
 * Thanks for looking for where to make a new post — if you need it again, the form
   is all the way at the bottom of the Wordfence forum’s list of posts [here](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordfence).
