Side Bar widget “visibility” option now missing

I’d add recently removed my SSL cert to my website and in so doing some functions and links were lost.
In the Widgets area, I can not longer is the Visibility options for respective Widgets.
Could you kindly point me to where the documentation is to enable this function again to that I can resave the original php files where needed.Thank you.

I am using the sela theme. i would like to eliminate the big white box on the homepage section. I hae no coding experience, and would be uncomfortable attempting such changes. Any ideas?Also, within the homepage section and on my blogs, the social icons are vertical. Any way to make them horizntal so the blogs do not seem so long, especially on mobile devices?
