• Resolved missyscats

    (@missyscats)

I’m new to WordPress and have had no end to problems. The last one to be resolved is the sidebars on my blog post pages. When I try to use Custom Sidebars from the page where I write and edit posts, I get a little box that says Column 1 Static instead of the sidebar. It’s also on the main blog page covering something else that’s there.

    I’m using the Meditation theme.

Thanks so much for your help.

The little box is still there, and also on the one page I was experimenting with.

This is so disheartening. I really wanted it to work. I thought if I moved my website and blogs from Weebly and Blogger, they’d do better in search. But I’m not sure it’s worth it.

    Thanks for your help.

I just discovered I can add widgets to the sidebar through the customizer. You don’t even want to know how many hours I’ve spent on those sidebars. Feeling really, really dumb. 🙁

    Thanks again for your help.
