Sidebar issues
-
I can’t currently link to this page, because I cannot make it publicly visible until I have fixed this issue.
I am rebuilding an area of my website called the eLibrary, which displays digital resources available at the library. Currently, we have it all in one page (here), but the number of resources we’ve subscribed to has made it unwieldy. I decided the best way to handle this would be to create a new post type — each resource gets a post, then I’ll use the taxonomy to keep the resources organized instead of manually altering a table.
I used a plugin called CPT UI to create the new post type, but something about the new post type isn’t pulling the correct CSS from our theme or perhaps our child theme. The posts should look like this (example post) — the entry content fills the width of everything except our widget sidebar.
In this new post type, which I’ve given the name elib-resources, the summary and featured image fill the width of the content area, but the entry content is smaller and leaves white space on the right (screenshot belwo). I can’t figure out what the issue is, other than I can tell from looking at screenshots of baseline Twenty Sixteen that making the entry content full width is a change we made.
I’d appreciate any help y’all could provide. Thanks!
