 * Any way to get just a plain list of upcoming events, possibly with support for
   specifying date/time formats and whether to show the time at all?
 * See the “Events” section on [dev.ambassadors.edu](https://dev.ambassadors.edu/)
   for an example (currently using CSS to hide extra stuff, but would like to hide
   the times and separators as well, which is not possible with CSS given the current
   markup).

 * The events section just says “coming soon” so not exactly sure what you are looking
   for. My guess though is that you will want to look into the event template tags
   to have better control over what is displayed: [http://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/](http://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/)
 * Let me know if that helps.
 * Thanks!

 * Something was causing a 500 error at that point in the page, and I forgot that
   I had posted here.
 * [Here’s a screenshot of my settings](https://f000.backblaze.com/file/ARMD-public/public-screenshots/2016-08-02-calendar-settings.png):
   all I want to display is the event name with a link to it.
 * [Here’s a screenshot of the output](https://f000.backblaze.com/file/ARMD-public/public-screenshots/2016-08-02-frontend-display.png)
   on the front-end, without CSS hiding the extra stuff I don’t want included.
 * Am I missing something in the formatting, or is it not possible to hide some
   of that info?

 * What else are you trying to hide?

 * Ideally I’d like only the event name with a link to the event info in this calendar
   display. No date, time, etc.

 * Is that time and date information still showing even after removing the related
   template tags? (like [when], [start-date], etc or whatever you have set in there)

 * Yes—that screenshot is showing even when the only content in the calendar post
   editor is `[link][title][/link]`; see [screenshots above](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/simple-list-view?replies=6#post-8709431)
   for the exact content and the output I’m getting.

 * Does it change anything if you disable “Compact List”?

 * It adds date headers, but doesn’t change the time output format; [see screenshot](https://f000.backblaze.com/file/ARMD-public/public-screenshots/2016-08-09-frontend-display.png).

 * Is this a grouped calendar or a single calendar? If it happens to be grouped,
   then you need to actually change the event template for the individual calendars
   and not inside the grouped calendar.

 * Thanks—that was the issue. It was a grouped calendar, though I had manually selected
   only one calendar.
