# simple “relational” database

 * i want to create a simple database that connects (a) anime shows, (b) characters,
   and (c) voice actors. iow, if i click a show, i get the characters; if i click
   a character, i get the voice actor (and show); if i click a voice actor, i get
   their shows; etc.
 * hard to search for “database” – too many hits of the wrong kind. and i don’t 
   have the skills to build something. i was thinking a membership-type database
   could be used since i don’t have members. tia.

 * If you don’t find a plugin to create a separate database (like Participants Database),
   you can always use a custom post type for the most important part (actors or 
   shows), and custom taxonomies for the others.
    Decide up front whether you will
   need to treat the data like normal WP data, or if it is always separate. That
   will tell you if it should be in the WP database or a different one.
