# SimpleHtmlDom.php error line 176

* I used Simply Static successfully once when this site was hosted on macOS. It
has since moved to linux hosting but it otherwise unchanged and now I cannot
get the plugin to export the site.
I get an error after 20 minutes Error: (1)
Uncaught RuntimeException: Not valid HTML fragment… (I was unable to copy the
red text) The diagnostics are all OK.
* How can I avoid this error?

* you have invalid HTML on your page which needs to be removed before you can export
successfully.
* Check your page with: [https://validator.w3.org/](https://validator.w3.org/)
to find the problem, remove the invalid markup (maybe coming from a plugin),
then you can generate your static site.

How can I tell which page has caused the problem? I have

* just use the domain, it’s mostly not page-specific and instead something you
have on all of your pages.

* Seems like an error within your menu/search bar.
