# Singlepic Caption

 * Hi there,
 * My client has a nexgen gallery which uses the caption template (shows the alt
   text in a caption when you open the image in a lightbox.)
 * They also want to do the same with a singlepic and wanted to check if it was 
   possible.
 * (Previous research indicates that it isn’t but wanted to check before reporting
   back to my client.)

 * Unfortunately, we have to confirm that displaying captions isn’t possible with
   NGG’s singlepic and I can only add it as a feature request to our list.
 * Please note that you can create your own custom templates for the various gallery
   display types including singlepic. Here we have a documentation article on how
