# Site Directory shortcode ?

 * Hi – thanks for your plugin.
 * I’m trying to create a short code to replace the Site Directory page generated
   by Buddypress on multisite networks.
 * Would BP Profile Search be able to generate that?
 * Know of another resource to do it in functions.php or bp-custom.php ?

 * BP Profile Search can’t do that by itself, but there is a great extension by 
   [@lenasterg](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lenasterg/) that can probably
   do the job for you, see:

   can do it, but it needs some custom code.

 * thank you for your time and attention on this.
 * I’m looking for a shortcode simply to be able to use a page builder to format
   the overall page layout
 * i’ve previously cobbled together some code to generate a shortcode to show sites
   but I don’t think it was coded cleanly and filtering didn’t work (ie if a site
   is set to not allow search engines to crawl, it still showed up) – I got lost
   in the haze of not really knowing what I was doing.
 * As a work around I’ve simply improved the default css layouts and it is ‘good
   enough’ to use the default buddypress generated page — but a clean script for
   generating the default(ish) site directory would be great.
