    Hello guys how are you?

So i move my websites to a new machine on GCP.

Now i migrate the site, and reset the Google Site Kit plugin.

Its look very slow, sometimes websites got stuck.

i have very strong machines and i test it between my 3 websites all of them behave the same with google site kit:

    [ redundant links deleted ]

I was suspect on the cache in the start (i have openlitespeed server with LS CACHE plugin)

after that i was suspect on the firewall but i don’t think this is the reason.

    any solutions? recommendations?

    Hi @123nadav,

If you wish to share the following I can check and see if I notice anything unusual:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. A screen recording of your experience. You can use a service such as Loom or Zight to share a screen recording, while using the same form to share this privately.
    3. Are you referring to your website being slow overall with Site Kit active, or just the Site Kit dashboard? If it’s your site overall, I’m assuming this is on the wp-admin panel? On the front end, Site Kit places the same snippets as you would place for Google Analytics, AdSense, Tag Manager etc as the snippets you would place manually.

Within the screen recording, please demonstrate switching between reporting periods on the Site Kit dashboard, and browse down to the PageSpeed Insights section also.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you,

    Hey @jamesosborne how are you?

Its more slow when you try to set it up… a lot of errors, sometimes website got stuck (during the setup of the plugin)

Right now i set it up and everything work fine.

but i was need to do it at least 5 times to each website. (reset the setting, and all over again to connect the Gmail and configure analytics, Metrix groups)…

For the record, i have dedicate WordPress (1 VM -e2-small) just for WordPress its a lot of power for 1 website, so its not connected to the server i can assure you.

I submit the form you told me with all the information you ask:

    Thank you again,

    Regards,

Thanks for the update @123nadav. Great that you’re now set up, although that does indeed sound most unusual with regards the errors.

Sorry to hear that. I did check your server details from the information you kindly shared and I didn’t spot anything unusual. I didn’t see a recording of your experience which could potentially assist with any particular error, but if you’re connected then there’s no need to disconnect or reset to test.

We also do have a WordSpace account whereby I’ll look into setting up a site using the same process. I’ll report back to you here after some testing. Thank you.

Thanks for your patience on this while I performed some tests. From reviewing some installs, any delays or issues setting up Site Kit is likely due to various contributing factors. On the Google Cloud Project I set up to test this there are also various configurations you can apply, including the CPUs, the amount of RAM, the disk size and type etc.

If you wish to share a recording of your experience, with your browser console tab open displaying any errors, I can see if there is any issue triggered from the plugin, as opposed to possible delays setting up on the stack you decide in Google Cloud.

    Hey @jamesosborne,

Okay, let’s start with the basics. I’m using an e2-small instance (2 vCPUs, 2 GB RAM).

Here’s the deployment I used on Google Cloud:

This setup is a dedicated server for WordPress, and with an e2-small machine, it actually performs like a monster.

    Regarding the recording:
At the moment, I’m not experiencing any issues — but that’s because the plugin is already connected.

I’ll need some time to reset the plugin and go through the setup process again.

Also, I’ll need a secure place to upload the video, as it may contain private information. I’d prefer that only your team can view it.

Thanks for the update @123nadav. And great to hear that you are not experiencing and issues at present. If the issue primarily occurred during set up, there are stages of set up where you’re depending on the Site Kit service, which acts like a proxy to transfer data between your site and the various Google services. It’s possible that if there were delays, they may have occurred here.

If you do wish for us to investigate should any issues remain, in particular during set up, you can share a recording (with your browser console tab open displaying any console errors), using this form, which is private.

If all is working as expected at present, I don’t suggest dedicating much time on this if it’s an inconvenience. Delays could also have been temporary at network level, at Google service level or other stages.
