• I have installed on my windows server bitnami wordpress stack 4.4.1 and i’ve installed latest version of wordfence and wordpress.
On friday 29 of july the site http://www.deaelettrica.it stop running suddendly at 11 o’clock AM.
Moving back the server clock the site run regularly, so i can disable worfence plugin and the problem disappear. Once reactivated wordfence, the site stop running suddendly!
I’ve installed wordfence plugin in two other wordpress sites similar and i never had this problem.
What i have to check to investigate the cause of problem?
    Thank’s a lot

  • Same here although mine started last week. Each day, a different site has stopped working, just presents a blank page.
Upon renaming the plugin folder (wordfence.old), the site starts working again. Renaming the plugin folder back to ‘wordfence’ causes the site to stop again.

Even tried uninstalling, removing all traces of Wordfence and reinstalling – still the same issue.

    Its bizarre!

I had similar issues, the site was ok at midnight (UK time) and down by morning…happened for 3 consecutive days…

With the below error in the logs…

Notice: Undefined index: coreUnknown in /wordfence/lib/wordfenceHash.php on line 141
    Core dumped: Aborted

When I moved back to the previous version of wordfence, the site has been ok for 2 days now!

Ofcourse, I forgot to mention that I am using HHVM and Nginx. When I restart the Nginx server, the site is back to normal until the wee hours in the morning next day

    Developers… care to comment?

dkaranth, we have tested Wordfence with HHVM and I’m afraid we can not support HHVM at this time. The coreUnknown issue is fixed in the latest version of Wordfence.

muffintop, can you check the servers error logs please? It will likely hold some information about why your site is not working. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I fixed it using your stack size suggestion in another thread.

    Thanks,
