sitemap error

    Hi there

    i m currently hosting my site on premium wordpess hosting on “Media Temple”. yesterday i receieved sitemap error. few hours back all is working.

    yoast seo free version 1.5.3
    wordpress v3.9.2

    http://yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml

    giving error!
    Error Code:500 Internal server error
    this happend after schedule mentenance of media temple yesterday.(i noticed.)

    i contacted the support of media temple but they have no solution , they only provide written articles in their support forum so called- mediatemple knowledgebase.

    One great thing about them also do not have access to error log. and dont provide. even they told me…we can not provide support for third part/configured service.

    So No wonder.I tried already all possible solution for the sitemap. but none work for me.

    Strange thing is this , one of my friend laso hosting with media temple..he also receiving the same error.

    is there any way to find out the error code.!

    Respected Sir,

    Past 24 hours i am receiving error in my “XML Sitemaps – Yoast WordPress SEO Version 1.5.5.3” : http://www.softfully.com/sitemap_index.xml and also same error in “Google XML Sitemaps Version 4.0.7”. So all .xml file are receiving below errors.

    500 Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    I also try to enable, disable and reset plugin but no results in my sitemap.xml file format (.xml file format not working)

    I also try to edit “.htaccess file” but still not working.

    I need help please.

    Same error and issue on my end using MediaTemple Premium WordPress hosting.

    Attempting to debug myself using error log and full backtrace — haven’t found anything yet. Starting to believe its config with hosting, but strange because it was working previously.

    Currently:
    – added bug/issue report here
    – switched to Google XML Sitemap plugin, which is a bummer as I prefer Yoast SEO

    I thing Google XML Sitemap also have this same issue…
    I can’t generate sitemap with both plugin. (Yoast SEO & Google XML)

    FYI: Now working (SEO by Yoast) for current release with MediaTemple Premium WP.
