Hi, I have an issue with the sitemap in one of my websites, blog main page is appearing both on page sitemap and posts sitemap how to resolve this issue, can someone please guide us, below are the sitemaps
/post-sitemap.xml
/page-sitemap.xml
I want to retain the blog main page in pages
/blog/
blog main page is an archive page, we won’t get the post ids, so please guide us to fix this issue. Thanks

Hello @sangeetha9

Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. I understand your homepage URL appears in your page sitemap and post sitemap. This occurs if you have set your homepage to display latest posts in WordPress > Settings > Reading. It’s expected behavior. The page sitemap always includes the homepage, and there isn’t a way to exclude it. The post sitemap includes the post archive as the first link. It’s not an issue.

Hello thanks for the reply i will check with the settings and let you know, suppose if it is not set then how to fix this issue

I checked the website settings for home page, home page is not set for latest posts so any other solution to fix this issue please guide us because we don’t want blog main page in post sitemap

Can you share the URL of your website? Also, share a screenshot of what you have in WordPress > Settings > Readings. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.
