I’ve tried several ways to make the SiteOrigin Taxonomy work, but with no success. It just produces blank results (and I have plenty of tags and categories) Thoughts?

    Hi 🙂

    Thanks for reaching out.

Can I confirm that the Taxonomy widget is being inserted in a post that has categories/tags? If let me know where to browse on your site to view a post with the widget inserted?

(The field you inserted your URL into when posting this topic is protected from non-logged in users. If you’d like to let me know where to browse to view a post with the widget inserted, that’ll be great. Thanks.)

I just created a test post and I think I misunderstood the purpose of the widget. I was looking for something that was going to give me a list/index of all categories or tags on the site. What I am finding (based on your response and my test) is that it only identifies the category or tag of the post into which it is embedded.

    Thanks.

Thanks for testing. That’s correct. Most themes will list categories or tags somewhere. This widget allows you to take control of that functionality and list taxonomies, linked to a post, in a place you’d like them to be displayed. It fits well with our Custom Post Type Builder which is part of SiteOrigin Premium.

WordPress has a core Categories widget that displays a list of categories. The WordPress Tag Cloud widget would be the tag version of that.
