# slideshow doesn't load, only cycle

 * per thread from 3 yrs ago, downloaded jw-image-rotator and still the slideshow
   only cycles and never loads.

 * 2nd slideshow inserted that didn’t work, however slideshow is working fine on
   homepage.

 * I deactivated all plugins except NextGen, then went down the list and found the
   culprit – Custom Post Templates – which looks to have been abandoned. The only
   problem with the deactivation is the height of the templates which now covers
   the footer.
 * BUT, NextGen works fine now.
