 * Hello
 * Is there a way to get lightbox in slide show albums?
 * Thanks!

 * No – slideshows and lightboxes are mutually exclusive. You cannot add lightboxes
   to slideshow layouts.

 * Thanks for the clarification:
 * I am having some issues with the slideshow not displaying but the other feeds
   are.

 * Not working Slideshow: [https://flcannabisdeals.org/test-home/](https://flcannabisdeals.org/test-home/)
 * I have javascript set in my settings but it seems the slideshow is acting like
   PHP mode.
 * Cheers

 * That’s correct – JS loading is not allowed for slideshows. This is deliberate,
   since slideshow scripts don’t work very well with dynamically introduced content(
   slideshows are in general considered bad UX tools for various reasons, but people
   use them anyway).
 * For this specific page your only option is to disable the cache. Alternatively,
   if you still want to use caching, you should might want to consider moving the
   photos you are using in your slideshow to something like a WP gallery instead
   of Google Photos.

 * Thanks for all the clarification.
 * On a side note, I saw you mention you don’t use cache plugins. I am considering
   this. What is your reasoning?

 * About 80% of the pages on my site deal with Photonic galleries, which are all
   dynamic. I use an assortment of layouts and options to showcase the plugin, and
   caching plugins would play spoilsport with all of them, causing a huge amount
   of extra maintenance on my side.
 * In general I feel caching plugins try to do a “one size fits all” model, which
   really doesn’t work for more than half of the plugins in the WP space, particularly
   those dealing with dynamic content. If you use a caching plugin with a dynamic
   content plugin, you will repeatedly have to come back and update your page even
   if there are no changes, just to ensure that your cache is refreshed – this to
   me is a needless complication.
 * Very often a smart combination of a good theme and optimized plugins do a much
   better job of delivering content faster.

 * I agree with your points. Caching plugins seems to cause many issues with other
   plugins and even when trying to exclude the URL there will still be issues.
 * I will try using no caching plugin soon.
 * Thanks for the help and chatting.

 * In a notice on the slide show when the slide show goes and the image sizes are
   different it grows or shrinks. Is there a way to make that faster / instant just
   switch photos with no growing or shrinking animation?

 * I believe there is an option to make your slides fixed height from _Photonic
   → Settings → Generic Options → Slideshows_.

 * Yes I might have to use it I just don’t like the white space it creates for smaller
   images pushing content below down more for small images.
 * Thanks

 * For fixed height nothing should be pushed down – you will see white space on
   the sides (not above and below the images).

 * Also, if you can help:
 * I am trying to remove my cache plugin openlite but after deactivating and deleting,
   purging cache on Cloudflare, and restarting server pages still show openlite
   in firefox inspect.
 * Page generated by LiteSpeed Cache 3.6.4 on 2021-06-25 14:15:30
 * Any suggestions?
