# Slideshow not functioning "javascript error"

 * The tablepress plugin is stopping my slideshows from loading on each page that
   a table is present.
    With table – [http://www.meine-staedte.com/london/the-blandford-hotel/](http://www.meine-staedte.com/london/the-blandford-hotel/)
   Without table – [http://www.meine-staedte.com/london/](http://www.meine-staedte.com/london/)
 * When I remove the table from any page then the slideshow works again without 
   a problem.

 * thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Your site is basically affected from this: [https://tablepress.org/faq/js-functions-not-working/](https://tablepress.org/faq/js-functions-not-working/)
 * Your theme is loading an old and outdated version of jQuery instead of using 
   the version that comes with WordPress. Could you maybe check that?

 * Now, as your table does not use any of the DataTables JS functions, you could
   also uncheck the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen for some
   more optimization.
