Slug issue

Yeah, so why is my slug renaming itself?

Here’s the scenario:

One PAGE has the slug ‘figures’.

One CATEGORY should have the slug ‘figures’ but it keeps renaming to ‘figures-2’

Is this due to the page having this slug or something else?

I’d really quite like the category to be called ‘figures’, not ‘figures-2’.

If I try and change it, it appends the -2.

Any clues?
