 * hy everyone ,
    i’m using wordpress 2.7 as well as xampp as a host, the problem
   is , i cant get the mail function to work , even with the smtp plugin and a gmail
   smtp server , i can see the “the e-mail was sent ” but i don’t receive any of
   them in my inbox. any help will be appreciated thanx

    i just installed the SHIFTTHIS plugin, it’s seems very easy to use,
   but i get this msfg error Fatal error: Uncaught Error of type [Swift_Connection_Exception]
   with message [The SMTP connection failed to start [ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465]:
   fsockopen returned Error Number 24 and Error String ‘Unable to find the socket
   transport “ssl” – did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?’] @0 require_once()
