# So Basic It’s Unusable

 * Can’t believe that for a PDF embed via shortcode it’s only possible to set a 
   fixed pixel width. There seems no way to set, let’s say, 100% container width.
   This isn’t usable at all on a modern, responsive website.

   design is, and we’re happy to inform you that **we’ve enhanced our shortcode 
   options to offer more flexibility**. You can now specify units for both width
   and height, allowing you to use %, px, or other units to create a more responsive
   PDF embed.
   Here’s a full list of the available options for PDF embedding:
 * `theme_mode = 'default/dark/light/custom'
   theme_mode = 'custom' (if theme mode
   is custom)custom_color = 'purple' (you can apply any color)presentation = true/
   falsetoolbar_position = 'top/bottom'copy_text = true/falsedoc_rotation = true/
   falsedoc_details = true/falseheight = '100%/400px/400' (you can add a unit: %/
   px)width = '100%/600px/600' (you can add a unit: %/px)
 * Example:

 * I just wanted to check in regarding the concerns you raised about the PDF embedding
   options being too basic. The latest updates now offer more flexibility, including
   the ability to adjust the width and height using percentage values or pixels.

 * EmbedPress actually works best with Gutenberg and Elementor. Similarly, EmbedPress
   PDF offers a lot of customization options in both Gutenberg and Elementor. Besides
   this, we’ve also tried to ensure that our users can enjoy the embedding experience
   in other editor through shortcodes. However, we couldn’t offer some of those 
   features available in the editors. Still, based on user feedback, we’ve continuously
   improved over time.
 * We would be very happy if you could submit your feedback as a feature request.
   In fact, our developers have already implemented the feature you found missing.
 * We always aim to provide a great experience for our users, though we admit there
   are still some areas where we need to improve. We’re continuously working to 
   make EmbedPress better.
