# So crap!

 * It was one thing to say that on a free account I could only get email notifications,
   but the notifications never came and I missed a whole heap of entries that I 
   can’t get back, not even by paying. It is absolutely terrible. Still waiting 
   for emails to come. Nothing!! IT TOTALLY SUCKS!!

 * I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email notifications. 
 * To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings
   are configured correctly by following our [tutorial](https://wpforms.com/docs/setup-form-notification-wpforms/).
 * If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails
   sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated
   email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the 
   receiving mail server.
 * To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure an SMTP plugin 
   on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with
   a list of [recommended SMTP options](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-fix-wordpress-contact-form-not-sending-email-with-smtp/)
   and links to their setup tutorials.
 * While WPForms Lite does not store form submissions in WordPress, please note 
   that we have the [Lite Connect ](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-use-lite-connect-for-wpforms/)
   option available which allows you to backup all the entries **after **enabling
   this option while using the Lite version, and restore them if you ever decide
   to upgrade to the paid version.
