  • Hi Benachi

    Thank you for the request!
I have opened a Github issue here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/20707

    Have a great week!

We mark posts that already have issues on Github as resolved for sanity. It lets mods and volunteers know we don’t have to jump in and find an issue. You should follow the discussion on Github. Sadly you’ll need to make an account there to do that, but once you do, you can click on the “Subscribe” button on the sidebar.

@utz119, also @paaljoachim – Did you know that it’s better for accessibility to not open in new tab or window? To be more WCAG compliant, just let links open in the same tab. People who use accessbility tools (like screen readers) can more easily go back when they’re done than close the tab and try to find the original page.

I didn’t know this, myself, until just last week. I am working on updating all my links to reflect this new knowledge.

    Hey Dani

Perhaps we need a way to let accessibility technology know when a link is opened in a new tab/window, so the user could be alerted about it?
