Thanks for letting me know. This means that our server is refusing the connection from your site. I will look through the connection logs to see if I can work out why. What hosting are you using? It may help me to narrow down/solve the problem later.

I just wanted to let you know that I am still looking into this and trying very hard to reproduce/understand what is causing this. I will let you know more as soon as possible.
I have exact the same problem. At my last provider (transmega) there was no problem eith the plugin. Now I have Hosting2go and I get a socket 111 error.
I asked the helpdesk of my provider and they told me that they probably refuseses to connect to your servers. Is it possible to tell me the ip adresses of your servers. Then dthe provider can add these numbers tot their whitelist.

Thank you very much for letting us know. I have still been looking into this on and off, but could not find a trace of it in our logs at all. I did not consider it being the source blocking the connection.
The server is hosted by Memset (UK) and the IP is: 89.200.139.16
At some point just before the end of this year this will be moving to a new and improved system. I have made a note to make a post about it here with the server details.
I am also going to consider displaying this information on the plugin settings page, with an indicator to show if the site can connect to our online service or not.
