# Socket error: 111

 * Hi everyone,
 * After installation of the plugin, I got following error:
 * > BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a socket error:
   > 111 response which could mean cron jobs aren’t getting fired properly. BackUpWordPress
   > relies on wp-cron to run scheduled back ups. See the FAQ for more details.
 * I can do a manual backup. Further, I followed the FAQ and I added a 711(755) 
   permission to the wp-cron.php. According the FAQ, I added this line of code to
   wp-cron.php:
 * `define( 'ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true );`
 * However, the warning/error stil exist.
 * Does somebody know how to fix it?

 * Your best bet is to contact your hosting company and ask them about the error.
 * Your server should be able to make curl requests back to itself

 * But in privies versions I had no problems with plugin. it’s worked just fine.

 * Are you automatic backups actually broken? Or is the issue just that the error
   is showing?
 * It’s likely that the error has always been happening but just wasn’t picked up
   before, version 2.1.3 improved how the errors are detected there.
