# Some serious problems and a few questions

 * Hello! Thanks for your wonderful plugin. I have some serious problems and I am
   asking for help.
 * 1. While editing a post, suddenly the plugin logs me out and I get an error.
   I can’t even save the post in drafts. After that, the only way to fix the problem
   is to clear the browser’s cache and cookies. But after a few days the problem
   appears again. I have turned off all types of caching (as a result, the site
   slowed down dramatically). No improvement.
 * 2. Very often the plugin logs users out, and after they log in again, the articles
   are still locked. I can’t reproduce the problem as it happens randomly, with
   different users and in different situations.
 * 3. When giving someone access for a month, the plugin counts less than one full
   month. Example: I manually create an account on 25/08/2022 at 10:00 AM. The account
   expires on 24/08/2022 at 00:00 AM.
 * Now two questions:
 * 1. I would like to ask you, is it possible to send the same email automatically
   to all my subscribers at once?
 * 2. I would like to ask if there is a possibility to export the plugin settings
   including the subscribers?

 * Hi,

   > to all my subscribers at once?
 * Can you provide an example of what you are trying to achieve? I want to make
   sure I understand your question correctly.
 * > 2. I would like to ask if there is a possibility to export the plugin settings
   > including the subscribers?
 * I think the following addon might be what you are looking for.
 * [https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-member-data-exporter-addon/](https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-member-data-exporter-addon/)
 * However, if you also want to export the plugins settings, then creating a database
   backup is the best option for you. Currently we don’t have an option to export
   the plugins settings.
 * Kind regards.

 * Hi, my apologies.

 * Both questions above seems like a cache issue. Do you have a cache installed
   in your site or server? Are you running a CDN account by any chance? Also, do
   you have a security plugin that logs you out after a certain amount of time?
 * > 3. When giving someone access for a month, the plugin counts less than one
   > full month. Example: I manually create an account on 25/08/2022 at 10:00 AM.
   > The account expires on 24/08/2022 at 00:00 AM.
 * It is a good idea to offer 1 or 2 extra days by setting the access duration value
   to something like 31 or 32 days. Because of the way PayPal’s IPN works, the plugin
   can’t offer hourly granularity. Giving access for an extra day is really nothing
   but it offers the customer full satisfaction.
 * It is a standard business practice, especially in banking, to measure time using
   a 30 day “business month.” That is why the closing dates for credit cards and
   bank statements tend to drift by 1 to 3 days. Even Microsoft Excel, via the DAYS360
   function, measures a “business year” as twelve, 30 day months.
 * Kind regards.

 * Thank you very much for your answers. You are wonderful.
 * 1. When I reported this problem to you I was not using any cache. I had turned
   off the cache a while back to see if turning it off would fix the problem. However,
   the problem was not solved. The only difference was that the site slowed down
   dramatically. So I turned it back on today. I don’t use CDN or logging out plugins.
 * 2. Could you tell me how to put your solution into practice. What exactly should
   I do? I currently have several membership levels set at 1, 3, 6 months and 1
   year.

 * This issue is not common and this is the first time I hear about it. Can you
   enable debug log as per the following documentation. Next time you or someone
   else is logged out, check the logging log file. See if that shows any information.
 * [https://simple-membership-plugin.com/enable-debug-logging/](https://simple-membership-plugin.com/enable-debug-logging/)
 * Also the following troubleshooting steps can help.

 * When you create your membership levels add an extra 2 days to the following feature**
   Access Duration (required)**. For example: When you set the membership level
   to 1 month, change this to 32 days. For the membership level of 3 months, change
   this for 92 days. I think you get what I mean.

 * Thanks for the answers.
 * 1. I have come across this complaint in many places on your forum here and on
   your site. But the solution options are always the same. And I don’t see them
   helping unfortunately. I will try what you suggest though.
 * 2. Thank you. I think I did that. Can you check the picture: [https://i.ibb.co/0ZY2YvY/956.jpg](https://i.ibb.co/0ZY2YvY/956.jpg)

 * Hello. The problem has now appeared with another subscriber. It is not known
   if he is logged in or not. It says “session expired.” Once logged in, the articles
   remain locked to him. The problem is not reported in the error log. It is also
   not reported that he attempted to enter or exit. I am very sad that this serious
   problem continues.

 * Hi, can you install the following plugin [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/).
   Run a health check and then let me know what the outcome is.
 * Kind regards.

 * I ran all the tests. The plugin says everything is fine. It doesn’t find any
   problems.
 * Meanwhile I got the problem again. But this time it was reported in the error
   log. I don’t know if I’m logged in or not. But when I try to log in, the articles
   stay locked and it says “session expired”. Here’s what the register says: see

 * Hi,
 * The login cookie is given an expiration period of three days in our plugin. Try
   the following. Clear your browser cache and then log in. Let me know what happens.
 * Kind regards.

 * If that’s the case, doesn’t that mean the plugin should automatically unlog every
   three days? In our case, I don’t even know if there is an automatic logout. No
   problems for more than three days. No automatic logout every three days. Maybe
   every fifteen to twenty days from clearing browser cache and cookies, and logging
   in, we get this problem. I cleared the cache and cookies of the browser again,
   but in fifteen to twenty days I will encounter this problem again. I am concerned
   about my paying subscribers that I am providing problematic access to…
 * I’m sorry for my bad English.

 * Hi, there is another option you might like to try. Please check the following
   documentation.
 * [https://simple-membership-plugin.com/automatically-logout-members-browser-closure-force-member-logout/](https://simple-membership-plugin.com/automatically-logout-members-browser-closure-force-member-logout/)
 * Let me know if the above information helps you.

 * But the problem I’m having is not logging out.
 * The problem is that after some time (about two weeks), the plugin logs out, and
   when the subscriber decides to log in, the articles remain locked. Which requires
   constant clearing of cache and cookies. This is the problem.
 * And under the name and password field, a message appears: Session expired.
