@maxwelljacobs
Upon checking the source of https://www.dwiminneapolislawyer.com/getting-drunk-without-drinking/ we do see the og:image tag has a relative URL on it. It is not showing the full path for the og:image tag with https://. og:image needs to have an absolute URL to work.
As this post explains, we always recommend using absolute URLs in WordPress. Please, replace the URL of those images with absolute URLs so that Yoast SEO outputs the right URLs.
After you fix the URL to absolute URL, verify again by scrapping the URL via Facebook debugger tool.

Thanks for getting back to me Suwash.
I checked the source code for the same page but I don’t see any relative URLs…
See screenshot link below where I found an absolute URL for og:image, not a relative URL.

Also, once we have figured out why the thumbnails aren’t working, is it possible to refresh already shared twitter posts? We have lots that have broken thumbnail images. See screenshot link below showing broken thumbnails that we’d like to fix.

Sorry for the confusion. I couldn’t remember how I spotted the relative URL earlier. Anyway, I’ve now confirmed relative URL is not there on the Open Graph image tag.

Well, so investigating further I’ve noticed the image somehow appears small than recommended size.
The minimum width and height is 200 x 200 pixels while the maximum width and height we recommend is 2000 x 1600 pixels, and is less than 2mb in size.
This KB guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/why-doesnt-facebook-display-an-image/
If you do upload a slightly bigger image and try to share the post, does the issue resolve? Please check via the Facebook debugger tool as well.
Also, once we have figured out why the thumbnails aren’t working, is it possible to refresh already shared Twitter posts?
It should be possible to update the already shared Twitter posts by validating the URL via Twitter card validator.
In this Twitter documentation, please check the information in Refreshing a Card in a Tweet section that discuss some technique to update the information.
I hope this helps.

Hi Suwash,
Thanks again for the reply.
I’ve increased the size of the image but unfortunately the thumbnail still doesn’t show when using the Twitter Card Validator.
Any other ideas?
Regards,
Max
