Hello,

Im traying to use the command "install soname 'ha_connect'", just as used on the tutorial. But, Im getting the following error:

WordPress database error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘soname ‘ha_connect”.

Can you help me please?

Hi @molinspace,

Just to be sure, are you installing on MariaDB? The connect engine is not available for MySQL.

When you install on an OS other than Windows, you need to install the connect engine first. Please follow the documentation available from here:
https://mariadb.com/kb/en/installing-the-connect-storage-engine/
