# Sort Column

 * Hello,
 * I created my first table and it is pretty simple. However, the columns do not
   sort correctly. The columns just contain numbers. I have tried the number with
   and without commas but nothing changes. What’s stranger is two of the 3 columns
   sort correctly.
 * However, General Coastline (miles) always has the value for Alaska in the middle
   place. It is actually the largest value.

    From Column’s
   settings you have to make the data type as Numeric then it will sort correctly.
