 * You can change that number only when the `Photo order` is set to `Order #` or`
   Order # reverse` on the photos `Edit Album Information` screen AND ( you are 
   either an admin OR the box `Photo order is restricted` on the `Advanced settings-
   > Admin -> IV -> Item 4` is unticked )

 * I set the album to # Order but didn’t there used to be a wat to edit each photo
   with a sort order number option box? With the album set to # Order, all photos
   are – Photo sort order #: 0.

 * Click to `Album Admin -> Seq` on the line of the album you want to manipulate.
   
   Drag-drop one item and all will be renumbered
