# Sorting

 * Hi, thanks for a great plugin.
    I do have an issue with sorting, am using date
   as the first column. The default sorting ‘oldest / newest first’ does not seem
   to work. It always defaults to oldest date first, even with the newest first 
   button ticked but I need the latest date first. Also, on the front end with sorting
   enabled if I click the sort button on the date it goes from showing the oldest
   entry 23/10/17 to showing 01/11/17 first then 2/11/17 etc but the newest entry
   is 17/11/17 and that should be displayed first ie 17/11/17 then 16/11/17 and 
   so on. Thanks

    The sorting should
   work fine as how you will insert the data. Then the frontend sorting is made 
   by javascript when you click on the columns.
 * So it does not know which fields are date or not.
