# Sorting Altitudes

 * Hello,
 * I am using your plugin to display my highpoint progress at [http://www.robertdangerbyrd.com/us-state-highpoint-list/](http://www.robertdangerbyrd.com/us-state-highpoint-list/)
   and am having trouble sorting the altitudes. They are expressed as 12,223 for
   example. The problem is that a 238 foot high hill will sort higher than a 14,000
   fort mountain. Is ere a way to fix this?

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * The reason for this is that numbers with a thousand separator are treated as 
   text, which is sorted differently. To change this, please installing this TablePress
   Extension: [http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/](http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/)
