Sorting events on date

I would like to sort the past events in the event archive in a different way, showing te last event on top, instead of the oldest event.

I have tried to do this using several help posts, including this post from Modern Tribe: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/filter-and-sort-events-with-advanced-post-manager/

However installing the Advanced Post Manager did not show any sort of filter option in the event list in the WordPress back-end.

I would really like to change the way events are sorted. Anyone who can help me?
