Sorting grid not populating

On version 2.4.2 on WP version 5.3.2 I am able to select the custom taxonomy to sort, however at most one or two posts appear even when the selected category contains dozens of posts. Many categories display no posts in the grid. The data-count attribute remains 0.

Issue remains after resetting order and deleting all ranking data.

Previous versions had worked, however a bug had developed (we were testing the update in hopes of fixing). On version 2.2.0 on WP version 5.2.5 there were undefined posts (id, img, and title all returned ‘undefined’, the link returned function link() { [native code] }) in the grid, and some posts missing from order (those missing post’s IDs did not appear in the database table). Categories experiencing this issue did have items in the database table with post_id of 0. Changing order of posts in those categories did adjust order on front end, but did not match front end.
