Text Editor problem
-
Hey Everybody,
I’m trying (in vain thus far) a good looking home page using Tyler Moore’s ‘Tesseract’ theme. I am new to WordPress but have been a long time user of Yahoo’s Site Builder software – which I thought was antiquated.
The new website I’m creating is named http://www.Winnebago4Less.com and I have published the beginnings of the home page but elements are either out of whack or lost symmetry with one another.
The first problem (i.e. where 3 buttons should be aligned and I understand this is because the 3 photos above buttons are not same exact height – but how dumb is that elements can’t be aligned by highlighting them and right clicking?) I’m having is with both ‘Rows’ & ‘Columns’. For the functionality of both these features is worse than that of Site Builder where one can easily align and space ‘Elements’ both horizontally and vertically – which WordPress seemingly lacks. Or am I wrong?
My second issue is with the ‘Text Editor’. When I click ‘Add Media’ and upload a couple of small logos I have not much in the way of control as to where to place them. I did discover by opening editor and clicking on logo I could place them left, right, or center but beyond that not else. It also garbles up my text in between the logos and what I see in Fullscreen option is not how it looks after publishing. Moreover, the fact that the default ‘Text Editor’ lacks the Google Fonts is both dumb and stupid – and it should be full feature Text Editor with Word Art, too!
So if anyone can share with me a fix for these issues I’d be highly appreciative!
Thanks in advance.
JEFF
