Spacing problems

It has been a while since I used WordPress and there are so many changes! I am using YouTube to get back up to speed (used to the classic editor and have minimal experience with blocks – but figuring it out). I am using 2024 theme and have only basic info uploaded and have 2 problems I could use help on the following. I know this seems simple to those of you with more current experience but there is a learning curve I am working with. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

1. how do I close up the space on the page? Everything is so spread apart down the page. I can’t find where to adjust these spaces. Please can someone point me in the correct direction (in the old days I often used custom css, but I can’t imagine that is necessary)
2. I would like the blue background of the words saying coming soon to full the full width of the page but when I tried to change the align to full width nothing happens. I ungrouped the block and that actually closed up some of the space for those items (see #1) but still I can’t set the align to full width for that block.
