 * I’m wracking my brain here trying to figure out what on earth is going on with
   this subpage:
 * [http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/author/lifes-too-short/](http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/author/lifes-too-short/)
 * as it keeps giving me a 404 error. I created this page within the dashboard and
   am only using the default template. It was working fine before the 2.5 RC1 upgrade.
   And before I started using my backed up files, I decided to try creating the
   exact same (except for the titles of the pages of course) page for all my other
   pages on the blog and they all work fine as a parent page for it!
 * [http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/elsewhere/not-elsewhere-either/](http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/elsewhere/not-elsewhere-either/)

   [http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/archives/not-archives/](http://www.fragileheart.com/journal/archives/not-archives/)
 * I created them all the exact same way, and am only having a problem with the
   one linking off the author page.
 * Can someone please help me?

 * I was getting a very similar problem — any pages that were child pages of another
   page, and were created before the 2.5 update returned a 404 error. The pages
   still existed in the database, but were not available on the site.

 * You may try to change your Permalink structure to a standard value and then back
   to your custom permalinks… it worked for me 🙂

 * Thanks DocMario – that worked like a little charm. Kind of like restarting windows
   huh? 😀
