Splash page plug in

I recently installed the WP splash page plugin. I followed the instructions to customize it to my own and it shows up when I initially enter my domain name in the url. The problem I have is if I enter my domain name again the static/home page shows up (which by the way, is a wp theme template). I want to be able to enter my domain name in the url and get the splash page to show up, then I want to be able to click on a link on my splash page to then have the static page/home page show up (which is my actual site). In addition I want a link on my static page to link back to the splash page. I know I am not linking them properly but I can’t find where on to do that at. Can anyone help?
