 * uh…that’s pretty complicated. read up on css and do it yourself, no one has done
   it to date

 * “no one has done it to date”??
 * not so. there are 3-column modifications of Kubrick out there.
 * However you might be better-off finding another theme you like (maybe even a
3-col Kubrick), rather than trying to alter your basic-Kubrick.

 * ok i played around with it some more and i think i did pretty good.. check out
   my test page >> [http://area-77.com/test.htm](http://area-77.com/test.htm)
 * im sure there a little code that will fix the left sidebar.. or maybe a change
in the style sheet? i dont know.. im a beginner at this..
 * and also, why is the footer not aligned with the body? i know its barely noticable
   but im just asking..
 * thanks!

 * there are three column kubricks, but those are content column column, not column
   content content
 * as for the test, you’ve still got bunches of issues there…

 * There was at least one 3-column Kubrick that was sidebar|content|sidebar, but
I can’t seem to dig it up. Anyone recall who released it?

 * You could probably use padding/margin to fix the left sidebar.
 * I’ve noticed the footer misalignment, it’s on thousands of Kubrick blogs. I’m
surprised more fuss hasn’t been made of it. It might be only some versions of
Firefox (doesn’t do it in either IE or Opera).

 * i’ll keep working on it and looking for that one sidebar/content/sidebar template
u guys mentioned.. i’ll post my results if any of you would like to know it?
 * maerk, im a beginner so i wouldnt know how to do the padding/margin stuff.. but
i do recall seeing that in the style sheet..
 * i use camino.. so the misalignment is a mozilla thing i guess.. thanks for pointing
   that out..

 * If you want a 3 column theme – why don’t find one that is close to what you want
and tweak that one. For new users the default is one of the most difficult themes
   to modify…

 * moshu’s got a good point…it would be better just to find an already made well
done three column theme and work from that. Kubrick’s got a lot of tricky PHP
for a newer user to work with…

 * There is already a very basic 3 column Kubrick theme:

 * It’s not one sidebar on either side, but you could begin with that, no?

 * dss, that’s true… except what was said [here](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/69822?replies=12#post-367552).

 * I’m actually a fan of the content | sidebar | sidebar look, but not so much on
the content in the middle…those are quite a bit harder to do well, and you tend
to end up with the content of the blog further down in the page source which
isn’t so good for those who are into SEO

 * Being a long time fan of Kubrick, I guess I could undertake a split 3 column
   Kubrick.
I have done it, but not for public consumption.
 * The problem is that Kubrick is robust, and well margined to protect the sidebar
from dropping below the content. A few simple moves to refine it, and in IE your
sidebar lives at the bottom without a firefox or safari user ever being the wiser
until one day some thoughtful person lets you know…. oh those are such bad days.
 * It’s really a matter of duplicating the sidebar’s style and renaming it sidebar2

floating the main sidebar right (as it already is) and the second sidebar right.
Now it’s all widths, margins and padding to make the page sit together nicely,
   and in the right places.
 * Here’s a reasonable article on this technique:
 * I’ll work on it and see what happens.

 * thanks dss, i think i can work with that..
 * so i would add that to the style sheet and rename #leftcontent to #leftsidebar?
and so on.. i’ll try that..
