 * For some reason I can’t fathom, the SQL feature no longer returns anything. I’ve
   entered valid SQL, entries with intentional typos (to bad tables) and even complete
   garbage (“asjkdakjdsn”).
 * In all cases, after pressing Execute I see the hourglass for what would seem
   to be an appropriate amount of time (and then nothing) – no results, no errors,
   etc. I just get my cursor back and can type another query. I have tried this
   on a couple of servers, with the same result (or, in fact, lack thereof!).
 * If I switch to the Explorer tab I can see everything (tables listed), including
   via Explore where I can see all the data I expect. In short, everything seems
   to be working, except SQL returns nothing at all.
 * Any ideas?
 * I am running WP Data Access Premium 5.3.7.

 * PS: Although I rarely use it, I also tried the Visual Query Builder and that
   too also produces no results (the Output tab is empty after execution).

 * I have this installed on two different servers, one the “lite” version, one the“
   paid”. I’m receiving the same results on the paid server, I perform a few queries,
   hit “execute”, and it seems like nothing works.
 * Tables still work fine though

 * [@dblincoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dblincoe/) I think I just (partially)
   figure this out.
 * Are you using WordFence? When I have this activated SQL queries fail, as described
   above. Deactivate WordFence and all is good.
 * I haven’t yet looked into whether I can configure WordFence to allow this, but
   I hope that is of help to you.

 * Interesting, we do have wordfence. I’m going to play around with this also. Thanks
   for the heads up!

 * Hi [@markwill](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markwill/) and [@dblincoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dblincoe/),
 * Thanks for reporting and the quick update. We tried installing the free version
   of Wordfence with the default settings but were still able to execute a query.
 * See here: [https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guNZq5n](https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guNZq5n)
 * Is it possible to share your settings on Wordfence so we can try and reproduce
   the issue?
 * We’ll wait for your response!

 * Unfortunately I haven’t had the same luck as [@markwill](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markwill/)
   with getting it to work, but I haven’t disabled the plugin entirely, just disabled
   the firewall. Here’s a video snippet of what I see:

 * Hi [@dblincoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dblincoe/),
 * Thanks for the video! Have you also tried deactivating WordFence entirely to
   see if the queries work?
 * Also since we’re unable to reproduce, would it be alright for us to check your
   setup? Please send us a message here: [Contact | WP Data Access](https://wpdataaccess.com/contact/)
 * We appreciate your patience!
