 * Hi,
 * Why am I getting this error:
 * _WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual
   that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near”
   at line 1]_
 * It is written in the right sidebar of my site. See [http://www.concrit.org](http://www.concrit.org)

 * What did you do before it stopped working?
    If you did an upgrade – read about
   non-compatible themes and template tags. [http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags#Links_Manager_tags](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags#Links_Manager_tags)
   [http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags#Category_tags](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags#Category_tags)
   Check out and replace the deprecated tags.

 * Thanks, that what I did… updated to 2.2. I will do a roll back.

 * No, don’t roll back – that’s always a bad choice.
    Read and follow the instructions!

 * A roll back is not the correct response to this error. Updating your theme and
   fixing the incorrect template tag is.

 * Is a roll back ever the right option? I started a new site on 2.2 but lots of
   standard plugins I have used before don’t play nice together anymore. I am beginning
   to think it would be easier to just start over, using 2.1 again. But would the
   db be compatible? Or would I have to recreate all my posts? There are only a
   few….so it wouldn’t be too bad I suppose… any thoughts or suggestions?
