 * Can anybody offer any suggestions on how to get around IE squashing images in
   table cells. The page looks fine in Safari / Firefox but IE decides it’s got 
   it’s own way of dealing with things…

 * Which version of IE? Have you tried giving each image the same height?

 * It appears to be fine in IE9, just seems to be anything below that.
