 * Hi. I’ll have a vps wp with many shared server urls. There will be a mix of wp
and wp/woo on the vps and shared. Will this plugin permit someone to navigate
all sites with one login? Is multisite needed?

 * The plugin supports multi-site, although I haven’t tested it extensively in that
configuration since the plugin was in its very early versions. Either way, as
long as your sites all share the same Identity Provider (they are required to
in multi-site), your users will have the experience of being able to navigate
many sites without the need to log in to each one.
