Hello. My certificate ends in a month.

    1. What happens then?

    2. Or what can I do beforee then to ensure continuity?

    3. Can I get a certificate with a longer expiry date?

    4. Does it matter that we have no values specified?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @darrenasmithmtm,

If the SSL certificate was generated with the Really Simple SSL plugin, you will be notified two weeks prior to its’ expiration, allowing you to renew the certificate.

Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates that are generated with Really Simple SSL will have a 90-day lifetime. This is determined by Let’s Encrypt and we do not have an influence on this. You can read more about the reason(s) why here: https://letsencrypt.org/2015/11/09/why-90-days.html

I am not entirely sure what is meant by “no values specified” though, could you help clarify this question?

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Thank you.

    I don’t understand this part: 90-day lifetime.

No values is when I click on the certificate and then the ‘Trust’ part.

    Hi @darrenasmithmtm,

Please refer to the mentioned Let’s Encrypt article regarding the 90-day lifetime. Due to security reasons, the certificate needs to be generated every 90 days. As mentioned, this is default for Let’s Encrypt certificates, and not something we can change.

We need more specific instructions on how to navigate to ‘the trust part’. Where exactly are you looking at?

    Kind regards,
    Leon

    Hi @darrenasmithmtm,

Correct, that is not an issue. You will see the same if you expect most other sites, such as ww.wp.xz.cn 🙂

    Regards,
