# START HERE – Basic Troubleshooting Steps

 * When requesting support it is very helpful if you have already done some basic
   troubleshooting to isolate the error. _This will help resolve your problem faster.
   
   
   **
   First**, ensure you are running the latest version of the plugin and read the
   documentation.
 * **Second**, search the forum for similar threads and see if any of the proposed
   solutions work for you.
 * **Third**, to test what’s wrong, deactivate all your other plugins and switch
   to the default WordPress theme. If the problem persists, open a thread. If not,
   figure out which plugin is in conflict and open a thread mentioning both plugins.
   Or if it’s the theme then tell me, so that I can take a look and help you fix
   it.
 * **Finally**, if you decide to open a new thread please use this template:
 *     ```
